Dragon's Tongue

This a poem from my next book.. I love stories and this is a little story.. hope you all enjoy..

The Angel that Curved the Dragon's Tongue

This dragon was mighty strong
And where ever there was heat he was drawn
But if the heat wasn’t of the gods he was gone
And gone mad as the story is told
He left villages in a fiery mold
The surrounding villages called dragon killers
And even witches to try and end this thriller
But none of them could stop him
And as long as that was so, he was a threat to them
He always let out a thunderous roar when the fire came out
To let everyone know he was around, and leave no doubt
But that didn’t satisfy the dragon
It was painful like being run over by a wagon
He was again drawn to a heat source
Readying himself for more disappointment like a divorce
But this heat source was not like any before
It was the challenge he had always waited for
Found his match and let out a mighty roar
But unlike the rest, this one didn’t hit the floor
But instead said is that all you got?
Needless to say this was a shock
The dragon stuck out his tongue, ready to breathe fire
But none came out like he had lost his desire
The massive dragon began to convulse
He began to lose his pulse
Hot steam surrounded the beast
Finally the steam disappeared as in came the wind from the East
And emerged a man out of the dragon’s belly
Covered in a substance like clear jelly
It seemed the mysterious figure had won
The Angel had curved the beast’s tongue
And saved the man of her dreams from fires hot as the sun
Love conquers all
